"Professional Sculptor"
Sculpting has been a passion of mine for many years now. After my family, it has been the greatest joy of my life, and I hope I will be creating for many years to come. I enjoy many new experiences, and so am a sculptor, children's book illustrator, sculpting teacher and my newest experience has been to become a nail tech.
I grew up on a farm in Northern Alberta, Canada, and now live less than an hour or so from that spot with my husband. We have 3 sons who now have all grown and moved out to their own homes, aged 21,20 &18. As a kid I was lucky to be surrounded by creativity in our house. My Mom was always very creative and encouraged us to be that way also. She is talented in many ways, and has done many things over the years from Hardanger embroidery, oil painting, water painting, crocheting, knitting, well, I could go on and on. Each of my 3 brothers and 3 sisters have their own talents of wood carving, oil painting, drawing, artistic welding, and the list continues!
I have been sculpting for over a decade now, and have been loving every minute of it. I started sculpting the mini babies a couple years ago, before I started them I just couldn't understand the attraction so many had for them, until I made my very first one, well I was hooked! They are just so cute, and cuddly, who doesn't like a baby. ha ha
I recieved my "Master Doll Makers" Certificate in 2008, and am a proud to be a member of the Canadian Doll Artist Association

As you can tell from my galleries, I really enjoy sculpting many different kinds of figures, from a tiny baby measuring 5/8ths of an inch long, whimsical garden trolls, and all the way up to my very fun, life sized witch, and lots in between.
As well as being a sculptor I am also an illustrator, using my sculpts for the pictures in the book. I have partnered up with my sister in law Cheryl Schenk, we are happy to announce that our first children's book is now in print and ready for sale on our website :
This was a large undertaking for us, and for two years we had been working hard on getting it done and to the printer. We are recieving great reviews from the children and adults alike, and are so thankful and happy for everyone's continued support as we work toward the next book in The Stibil Forest Adventure Series.
2010 has been another busy year,I hope 2011 will hold as many exciting challanges. I will continue teaching classes on mini baby dolls as well as character art dolls. I have also taken up the fun art of felting, and am now surrounded by a lot of mini teddy bears, and am looking forward to adding those to my sales items, as well I am now offering classes to those interested in learning more about felting.
I hope you enjoy my web site, and will come back often, as I will be updating it with new pictures and information about the book and new items!
Please take a moment and sign my guestbook located at the bottom of my homepage, I would very much like to hear from you.
