"Master Doll Artist"

I feel so very lucky to be able to wake up every day, grap a coffee and walk down the hall to work! Don't get me wrong, it is work I'm going to, but I just love what I do, even when the day runs into the evening hours.

I grew up on a farm in Northern Alberta, Canada, and now only live less than an hour or so from that spot with my husband and our 3 sons aged 20,18, and 17. As a kid I was lucky to be surrounded by creativity in our house. My Mom was always very creative and encouraged us to be that way also. She is talented in many ways, and has done so many things over the years from Hardanger embroidery, oil painting, water painting, crocheting, knitting, well, I could go on and on. Each of my 3 brothers and 3 sisters have their own talents of wood carving, oil painting, drawing, artistic welding, and the list continues!

I have been sculpting now for around 9 years, and have just recently started sculpting the baby dolls. I just couldn't understand the attraction to them, until I made my very first one, well I was hooked! They are just so cute, and cuddly, who doesn't like a baby. ha ha

I recieved my "Master Doll Makers" Certificate in 2008, and am a proud to be a member of the Canadian Doll Artist Association

As you can tell from my galleries, I really enjoy sculpting many different kinds of figures, from a tiny baby measuring 5/8ths of an inch long, wonderful garden trolls, and all the way up to my very fun, life sized witch, and lots in between.

As well as being a sculptor I am also an illustrator, using my sculpts for the pictures in the book. I have partnered up with my sister in law Cheryl Schenk, we are happy to announce that our first children's book is now in print and ready for sale on our website : www.thestibilforest.com This was a large undertaking for us, and for the last two years we have been working hard on getting it done and to the printer. We are recieving great reviews from the children and adults alike, and are so thankful and happy for everyone's continued support as we work toward the next book in The Stibil Forest Adventure Series.

2010 is going to be another busy year for me, I am currently listing mini babies on ebay almost every week. I am also teaching classes on  mini baby dolls as well as character art dolls. I have also taken up the fun art of felting, and am now surrounded by a lot of mini teddy bears, and am looking forward to adding those to my sales items, as well I am now offering classes to those interested in learning more about felting.

I hope you enjoy my web site, and will come back often, as I will be updating it with new pictures and information about the book and new dolls!

Please take a moment and sign my guestbook located at the bottom of my homepage, I would very much like to hear from you.
